Can I expect my housekeeper to work unsupervised?
Yes. The housekeeper will be happy to work in your home, whilst you are out. The client needs to arrange safe access to the house for the housekeeper, and ensure that she knows what jobs to do. (Jobs-to-do-list or previous discussion with my-housekeeper.co.uk)
Can I expect my housekeeper to put-away all my grocery delivery?
Yes. The housekeeper will put it all away on its arrival.
Can I expect my housekeeper to tidy-up?
Yes, but tidying takes time. So the housekeeper may need to tidy before she can clean. It is for the client to decide how long she wants the housekeeper to visit, and what jobs she would like doing.
Can I expect the housekeeper to make beds?
Yes; Tell us where the clean linen is and the beds will be stripped and remade. We can even pop the load into the washing machine, dry and iron it, if you so wish.
Yes within reason. She could also take the dog for a walk, if so wished by the client.
Can my housekeeper collect children from school, or take them to an activity?
Yes, either walking or via public transport. (Maximum of 3 children.)
Can my housekeeper prepare food at the client’s house?
Yes. At the client’s request and negotiated with the individual housekeeper.
Can I ask for a housekeeper to wait-in for another domestic professional such as a plumber?
Yes, but remuneration of the visiting professional will not be the responsibility of the housekeeper. This would have to be arranged separately by the client.
Are the housekeepers insured?
my-housekeeper.co.uk is comprehensively insured.
Can I arrange with my housekeeper an ad hoc increase in hours?
Yes, but my-housekeeper.co.uk needs to be informed to ensure that the housekeeper is insured for all work that she does for the client.
Would my housekeeper be prepared to accompany an older client shopping or to a hospital appointment?
Yes, but the housekeeper would not be able to drive the client in her car. But she could accompany the client in a taxi or on public transport.
Can my housekeeper arrange to have my duvets washed and dried?
Yes, this service is charged at two hours work and includes the duvets being put back onto freshly made beds.
Do my-housekeeper.co.uk staff have a uniform?
They are issued with monogrammed protective aprons and wear smart monogrammed t-shirts with black trousers/skirts if helping to serve food or drinks at a client’s party.
How do I complain if the standard of work is below my expectations?
Contact my-housekeeper.co.uk immediately via e-mail or ‘phone and any difficulties will be resolved. Or use the feedback form, found on this site.
Can I change my housekeeper, but keep the services of my-housekeeper.co.uk?
Of course! We cannot all get along with everyone. Any issues of this sort can easily be resolved and personnel changed.
